We need better labels for AI-mediated work.

“I slopped it and here’s what I got” means: I asked a model and passed along what it said. Take it or leave it.

“I did some research and here’s what I think” means: I read, researched, checked the work, formed a view, and used whatever tools helped me get there. Maybe one of those tools was AI. Maybe it wasn’t. That is not the important part.

The important part is that the reader knows how to engage with it.

Research deserves a real read, even when it’s wrong. There are insights in wrong arguments, and your feedback can help the person and the organization get better.

Slop deserves a glance.

There is nothing worse than giving careful feedback to something nobody thought through. That is the Hell Loop: your effort going into a void that can generate a fresh response faster than you can read the last one.
